Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Beginners

In this course, young people and other interested individuals without programming skills and technical background knowledge get the opportunity to explore the world of machine learning and artificial intelligence. We introduce you to the basic concepts and explain the differences between traditional programming and the development of self-learning software. Through practical examples, you learn what supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning mean. These concepts are essential for the algorithms that enable machine learning. Using a concrete application, we show you how patterns and structures can be recognized in large data sets. We also address ethical questions in connection with the use of artificial intelligence as well as the limits of machine learning technology within the four-week free course.
