Bookkeeping is an important task in every company. The job market for skilled workers in financial accounting is broad across industries. In this continuing education, you learn the theory and practice of bookkeeping and implement it directly in the DATEV system.
The program includes the introduction to accounting and the concept of DATEV eG. You will deal with company formation, client master data maintenance, accounting rules, and legal regulations. This also includes recording of incoming and outgoing invoices, balance carryforward postings, and the creation of an opening balance sheet. Further topics are postings for input and output VAT, the dunning process, cash and bank postings, and the monthly closing.
The classes are held live online with a female or male instructor in a virtual classroom, such as via Microsoft Teams or Vitero. You participate at your bfz location and use the on-site technical equipment. Learning process companions support you throughout the entire training period. With the approval of the funding provider, participation from home is also possible.
The continuing education lasts 1,000 teaching units, approx. 5 months full-time or 9.5 months part-time. It is aimed at job seekers, employees, and career returners as well as people with or without a professional qualification. Companies can also qualify their employees through this path. Prerequisites are user knowledge of PC and MS Office as well as German language skills at least at level B2.
At the end of the continuing education, you receive the original DATEV certificate, a generally recognized certificate in the accounting industry. Depending on the cooperation partner, an faw certificate, a bfz certificate, the certificate of a cooperation partner, or a certificate of attendance is added.
Funding is possible via the Agentur für Arbeit, the Jobcenter, the Berufsförderungsdienst der Bundeswehr, a Bildungsgutschein (education voucher), or pension and accident insurance providers. You can find the course at numerous bfz locations with multiple dates throughout the year.
