In the TQ1 module "Assistenz- und Sekretariatsaufgaben erledigen" (Handling Assistance and Secretarial Tasks) from WBS TRAINING, you learn the basics for supporting managers and teams. You take on tasks related to appointments, correspondence, and meetings. The module is part of the partial qualification as an Office Management Clerk.
Content-wise, it covers business mail, phone calls, and emails. You work with business and database systems and plan appointments and events. You create documents independently, and you support your team with minutes and presentations. The program also includes keeping a cash book.
The course runs full-time and completely live online on the TERTIA Online-Bildungs-Campus TOBi. Subject lecturers teach you directly, and on-site education mentors help with questions. During the continuing education, a PC learning station is available to you at a WBS branch. I find the model useful because you get personal support despite online lessons.
The partial qualification is aimed at people without a vocational qualification, career returnees, migrants, soldiers, and working professionals. Before starting, WBS TRAINING checks your suitability in a personal interview. Language skills at level B2 are useful so that you can follow the lessons well.
At the end of the continuing education, you receive a partial qualification as proof of your new professional skills. This opens up positions such as office assistant, secretary, or administrative employee. In my opinion, these are good entry-level jobs because organizational talent is in demand in almost every company.
